Currently Reading, www wednesday

|| WWW Wednesday | # 5 ||

So, here we are with another WWW Wednesday which was originally hosted by A Daily Rhythm & then revived by Taking on a World of Words.

As always, I have linked the title of the book to it’s Goodreads pages (you’re welcome).

– What are you currently reading? –
– What did you finish recently reading? –
– What do you think you’ll read next? –

Let’s get started…

Every Heart A Doorway (Wayward Children #1) by Seanan McGuire
I really enjoyed this, I’ve been wanting to get to the series for a while now but I just wanted more! This book was far too short. Fingers crossed the next in the series doesn’t leave me feeling as deflated as this did. I couldn’t rate it any higher than 4*.

The Betrayal of KA (The Transprophetics) by Shea R. Oliver
I posted a review of this on Sunday, you can find the link to that here.

Strange Case of Dr Jekyll & Mr Hyde and Other Stories by Robert Louis Stevenson
This is the first book that I read and finished for The Reading Rush that is happening this week! This book was for challenge No.6 Pick a book that has five or more words in the title. I didn’t enjoy this as much I wanted to but it was really interesting to read the original story of Jekyll & Hyde. I rated it 3*.

If you missed my TBR for The Reading Rush that most of these books are included in then just click here.

Dead Zone (Blackout #2) by Robison Wells
This is the second book in the duology and I’m really loving it, I went into Blackout with no expectations at all. I think that’s why I’m enjoying it so more.

Manipulated Lives by H.A. Leuschel
Saturday is my stop on the blog tour for Manipulated Lives and I’ve also managed to fit this in for challenge No.2 Read a Book in the Same Spot the Entire Time. I’ve decided to read this in bed as that’s where I always read the kindle, however, that’s probably not the best idea, these short stories are so emotional (yes, me who is dead inside actually cried).

Part of Your World (Twisted Tales #5) by Liz Braswell
I’m about 200 pages into this which I’m using for challenge No.1 Read a Book With Purple On The Cover. This is carrying on The Little Mermaid if Ariel hadn’t defeated Ursula.

Red Rising (Red Rising Saga #1) by Pierce Brown
I’m so excited to finally get around to this! I’m using it for challenge No.4 Read an authors first book.

Red Dragon (Hannibal Lecter #1) by Thomas Harris
I watched all of the Hannibal films years ago with my dad so in a weird way they are pretty sentimental to me (is that creepy?) I’ve had this book for a year or so now and this is finally the kick up the ass that I needed to get it on my TBR. This is for challenge No.7 Read and watch a book to movie adaptation.

Misery by Stephen King
This could have also been used for No.7 however, I’ve been wanting to get my hands on a copy of this for so long and I finally found it in my library! So this is for challenge No.3 Read a book you was meant to read last year.

What are you reading?

See you in the next one…

  2. Oh yes. I read it when I was 14 or 15… one of the first Stephen King books I read. I hated everything we were reading in HS. I think my mom was just thrilled i was reading so she let it go. Lol

  3. Oh hell. I’d read most of them in a year? Maybe two? And then I moved on to Dean Koontz. I was reading John Grisham and James Patterson by the time I graduated High School. Lol
