Ok so I haven’t been tagged in this but I’ve just decided to do it anyway because I can! I came across this tag over on The Book Corps. I’ve had this in my drafts for quite a while and decided that it’s time to finally release it into the wild.

1. WHY DID YOU START BLOGGING AND WHY HAVE YOU KEPT BLOGGING?

So I started my blog back in September 2017, I think I started it for the wrong reasons I wanted loads of followers straight away and free books. Obviously this didn’t work and I gave up after about 5 months, thankfully I left the account open.
I suddenly gained a lot of free time when I had to leave my job due to finding out I had epilepsy, my job was in a children’s play centre and twice I had seizures in front of the children and I hurt myself. I became extremely depressed, I had no job, I had to give up my driving licence, sell my car and I was at home looking at the same four walls everyday. Getting back into my blog in January 2019 was the best thing I ever did, it gave me something to focus on, my brain wasn’t just melting away and I found the best community of people who not only love books but are so supportive! That is why I continue to blog.

2. WHAT IS YOUR FAVOURITE TYPE OF BLOG POST TO WRITE?

I love posting book recommendations, I gain so much from reading other bloggers recommendations that I hope I can help people to find new books that they love. I also really enjoy discovering the original story that inspired our Disney movies, I haven’t done one in quite a while so I need to rectify that!

3. WHAT ARE YOUR TOP THREE FAVOURITE BLOG POSTS?

Book Recommendations… Nordic Noir
This is one of my favourite genres which I don’t see doing the rounds very often so I love putting them out there.

Promoting Indie Authors… Top 5 Saturday
I’ve been working a lot with Indie authors in 2019 so I loved being able to highlight them in the one blog post.

4. WHAT ARE SOME OF YOUR FAVOURITE THINGS TO DO TO RELAX?

Accurate representation of me trying to relax with a toddler on the lose!! Haha no he’s not really that bad, it is how I feel when he starts pulling all his toys out that I neatly organised while he was in pre-school.

Obviously reading is the main thing with a brew and a blanket. The second thing is taking our beagle for a walk while either listening to an audiobook or my Spotify playlist.

5. WHAT ARE THREE OF YOUR FAVOURITE THINGS?

-My little family of course
-Books (the reason we are all here)
-Having brews while wearing hoodies

6. WHAT ARE YOUR PROUDEST BLOGGING MOMENTS?

In November I published my 200th blog post, including this one I’m now on 239! and I’m 19 followers away from 800 these numbers are just mind boggling to me. I never dreamed I would have this many people wanting to read what I have to say on books!

7. WHAT ARE YOUR HOBBIES OUTSIDE OF BLOGGING?

WWE – Watching it of course not participating!
Me and my partner have been ringside the last two years that WWE has come to Liverpool.
We also have tickets for Comic Con in March which I’m really excited for.

Drawing
I haven’t had as much time for drawing this the last few months as I’d like but I’m hoping to change that.

Gaming
I’ve always been a sucker for a handheld console, I absolutely loved my PS Vita and I was treated to the Nintendo Switch Lite for Christmas so if I have a bit of spare time I definitely try and squeeze some levels in!
