Phew, I DID IT!! That was a serious challenge, 7 book in 7 days! But here we are The Reading Rush is officially complete!
If you missed days 1, 2 & 3 you can find my post here.
Day 4 – Thursday
So today I read another 128 pages of Misery as well as 40 pages of Manipulated Lives.
Day 5 – Friday
I FINISHED 3 BOOKS TODAY!!
40 pages for Manipulated Lives I rated this 3.5* you can find my review here.
136 pages for Aion I rated 3* I just felt like this wasn’t long enough for me to become fully invested in the story.
180 pages of Misery I rated 4* I did enjoy this it was just a little slower than I expected.
Day 6 – Saturday
I started and finished Red Dragon by Thomas Harris, I also watched the movie adaptation of this, meaning that I completed the challenge of read and watch a book to movie adaption.
I rated this 3.5* as this was so much slower than I expected. I definitely want to read the next one which is Silence of the Lambs where we encounter Hannibal Lecter a lot more than this.
Day 7 – Sunday
I started and finished Red Rising! I really rushed this book as I only had a few hours to finish it. I did really enjoy it though and I’ve downloaded the second in this saga already. I rated it 4*, I think it could have been a 4.5 or 5 if I had to time to fully submerge myself into it.
So there we have it, the week is over and I manged to finish 7 books! I’m not gonna lie, this was tougher than I expected but I’m so proud that I was able to complete it.
Let’s look at all the books I ended up reading.
Read a book with purple on the cover : Part of your word by Liz Braswell
Read a book in the same spot the entire time: Manipulated Lives by H. A. Leuschel
Read a book you meant to read last year: Misery by Stephen King
Read an authors first book : Red Rising by Pierce Brown
Read a book with a non-human main character : Aion by Ludovic Rio
Pick a book that has 5 or more words in the title : Strange case of Dr Jekyll and Mr Hyde
Read and watch a book to movie adaptation: Red Dragon by Thomas Harris
I’d say that’s one successful Reading Rush! I had a lot of fun with this, even if the last two days were super stressful!
How far did you get with it?
See you in the next one…
