-| Blog Tour… Behind Her Smile |-

So today I’m here with a blog tour for Behind Her Smile by J.A. Andrews. A massive thank you to Rachel from Rachel’s Random Resources for inviting me along.
Let’s jump straight in…

There are two sides to every story
Grace Thomas and her husband Cameron live busy urban lifestyles and decided to take a short break away in the countryside to reconnect as a family with their two children. Suspecting her husband of having an affair, the trip is ruined when Cameron’s personal assistant Chantelle, arrives unannounced with some devastating news. Chantelle appears to be everywhere Grace turns, and her instincts can’t all be wrong.
Not only does Chantelle resemble Grace, It soon becomes clear that she is desperate for Cameron’s attention, but at what lengths would she go to get it?
Determined to save her marriage, Grace begins to unravel all the secrets in her relationship by scrutinising the clues. Chantelle is always in the background, but behind her smile is a dangerous lie that has devastating consequences for everyone

Behind Her Smile is my first book from the author and I have to say that it is one of the best psychological thrillers I’ve read in a long time

I’m not going to lie the first 20% was hard to get through as I found being in the mind of our main character in the present day timeline insufferable. However once I got past that the book became difficult to put down as there were so many twists and turns. We have two time lines, present day and before the accident which give us little nuggets of information and left me desperate for the next.
At times I felt claustrophobic with the atmosphere created on the cruise ship which I believe is testament to the writing skill of the author.

This was such an intricate thriller that had me literally shouting out loud. I will definitely be checking out more from J A Andrews.

Rating: 4 out of 5.
