So I’m still not reading as much as I was last year but I wanted to share all the books I’m reading and planning on reading in the near future.
As always they’re split into recently finished, currently reading and what I think I’ll read next.
Let’s jump in…

Hunt (Dr. Bloom #3) by Leona Deakin (eARC)

I didn’t read the synopsis for this book as I knew I’d loved the first two books in this series so it was a real surprise to me that Bloom would be entering a cult. I’ve always been super interested by cults so to see the inner workings from a psychologists point of view made it so hard to put this book down. The tension in Hunt had me clenching my jaw so tight that my cheeks hurt. I highly recommend this series to everyone, it’s so easy to read but also compelling.

The Lore of Prometheus by Graham Austin-King (eBook)

The Lore of Prometheus is completely different to other fantasy books I’ve read as it is not your traditional fantasy which I enjoyed, we’re not in a magical world but set in Kabul, Afghanistan. The author creates environments which I can truly see myself being in, the atmosphere and the tension throughout meant that I read this book in two sittings I just didn’t want to put it down.
Loved the personalities of Carvers visitors with the sarcastic and witty humour, I believe the author used them as a way to touch on some tough topics such as PTSD and survivors guilt.

The Minders by John Marrs (Paperback)

I absolutely loved The One by John Marrs so I was excited to jump into this one. There are quite a few links back to The One as well as The Passengers I believe which I haven’t read. So if you’re interested in these books I would definitely read The Minders last as they’re are minor spoilers. I originally rated this book 4 stars but looking back I would think that it is more of a 3 / 3.5 star read as it just didn’t keep me as interested his other books have, I put the book down in October and didn’t pick it back up until last month. I didn’t feel connected to any of our characters and the storylines just didn’t reel me in.

Rating: 3.5 out of 5.
