I can’t believe that it’s the middle of the year already!
I did this tag last year, you can find it here, its a pretty long tag so let’s get started…

Most Anticipated Release For The Second Half Of The Year

Home Before Dark by Riley Sager
This is the only new release that I’m actually anticipating and it’s being released at the end of this month. I’ve only read one book by this author, Lock Every Door which I really enjoyed.
Biggest Disappointment

Rules for Perfect Murders (Malcolm Kershaw #1) by Peter Swanson
I’ve loved two previous books by Peter Swanson so I had really high expectations for this. However this really let me down and I ended up giving it 2.5 stars.
Biggest Surprise

House of Earth and Blood (Crescent City #1) by Sarah J. Maas
This massively took me by surprise and fast became my second favourite book of the year, I have a full post gushing over it which you can find here.
Favourite New Author

The Outlands Pentalogy by Rebecca Crunden
You’ve probably heard me mention this series a lot this year and I’ve just fallen in love with it, the author has created a world and characters that are so captivating I just can’t stop reading them!
Newest Fictional Crush

Hunt Athalar from House of Earth and Blood
This is my favourite piece of fan art of Bryce and Hunt it is created by BxRomance
Newest Favourite Character
I’m gonna cheat and have two (maybe three) characters, Nate & Thom from The Outlands Pentalogy by Rebecca Crunden, I love the brothers relationship, how strong their bond is and the banter between them. I do want to include Kitty aswell as the trio work so well together!
Book That Made You Cry
I don’t really cry at books so I don’t have an answer for this.
Book That Made You Happy

Qualityland (QualityLand – Saga #1) by Marc-Uwe Kling
This book was so completely different to what I normally read and I loved it, it made me chuckle quite a lot!
I took part in the blog tour for this.
Favourite Book To Film Adaptation
I don’t watch very much TV anyway so I haven’t watched any adaptations this year.
Favourite Post You Have Done This Year
I don’t have one single post but I love doing Down The TBR Hole, I’m not going to link them all as I’m up to number 20 so here’s my latest one.
Most Beautiful Book You’ve Bought This Year

House of Earth and Blood (Crescent City #1) by Sarah J. Maas
This book is just beautiful, I read this on ebook from my library and immediately had to buy a physical copy!
What Book Do You Need To Read By The End Of The Year

The Testaments by Margaret Atwood was actually an answer in last years tag as an anticipated release and I bought it for my birthday at the beginning of the year and I’ve still not picked it up yet!

If you want to do it then consider yourself tagged!
See you in the next one…
