So today we have the December Book Box Club unboxing and the theme is Fireside Favourites. I always get excited when this is delivered to my door.
Let’s dive into it…

Bookish Beanie by Book Box Club
“If you can’t be by the fireside full-time take the cosy vibes with you! Our stylish bookish beanie will keep you snuggly and warm all through the winter.”
I’m absolutely in love with this beanie, I’ve had my current one for about 3 years now and I pretty much live in it so I’m so happy to have a new cosy one with a book on the front!

“Bonus Book From Our Publisher Buddies”
Diary of a Confused Feminist by Kate Weston
Kat wants to do GOOD FEMINISM, although she’s not always sure what that means. She also wants to be a writer, get together with Hot Josh (is this a feminist ambition?), win at her coursework and not make a TOTAL EMBARRASSMENT of herself at all times.
But the path to true feminism is filled with mortifying incidents and when everything at school starts to get a bit too much, Kat knows she’s lost her way, and the only way forward is to ask for help . . .
We could have been given one of ten books, this wouldn’t have been my first choice, it does seem like a book that could make me laugh. Maybe one day I will pick this up when I need something different.
White Chocolate & Raspberry Bar by Tilly Wonka

“Chocolate is an absolute essential for any cosy night in. Chomp on this luxury raspberry and white chocolate bar, created by the long-last relative of Roald Dahl’s much-loved chocolate factory owner!”

I can already tell you that this is super yummy! Yes I did take this straight downstairs and opened it.

Quotable Classics Pencils by Book Box Club
“Keep note of your favourite fireside reads with these pretty pencils! Can you identify which cosy classics these bookish quotes hail from?”
Quick question, was I supposed to receive more than one of these?
Also I’ve just had to google this quote “I like good strong words that mean something”, it’s actually from Little Women that I haven’t read.

Fireside Faves Woodmark with artwork by Mia Minerva
“Prone to nodding off by the fire with a book in hand? Us too! Never fear, this gorgeous exclusive woodmark will keep your place whilst you catch some beauty sleep!”
www.miaminerva.fi
I’ve never actually had a woodmark before, this isn’t as thick as I expected which is definitely a bonus and the artwork is beautiful!
2020 Unashamedly Bookish Calendar by Book Box Club

How fab is it that this calendar features a different artist for each month.
Now, time for the book…

The Gentleman’s Guide to Vice and Virtue meets Jane Austen in this witty, winking historical romance with a dash of mystery!
Lady Victoria Aston has everything she could want: an older sister happily wed, the future of her family estate secure, and ample opportunity to while her time away in the fields around her home.
But now Vicky must marry—or find herself and her family destitute. Armed only with the wisdom she has gained from her beloved novels by Jane Austen, she enters society’s treacherous season.
Sadly, Miss Austen has little to say about Vicky’s exact circumstances: whether the roguish Mr. Carmichael is indeed a scoundrel, if her former best friend, Tom Sherborne, is out for her dowry or for her heart, or even how to fend off the attentions of the foppish Mr. Silby, he of the unfortunate fashion sensibility.
Most unfortunately of all, Vicky’s books are silent on the topic of the mysterious accidents cropping up around her…ones that could prevent her from surviving until her wedding day.

I really love the beanie and the calendar, in all honesty the books definitely aren’t my typical genre, hopefully I do get to these and enjoy them.
Have you ever tried this box?
See you in the next one…

I like all the goodies! I would definitely use the beanie. Hope you end up liking the books even with them not being your typical genre.
