Unboxing

-| Cheating. Lying. Murder? November 2019 My Chronicle Book Box |-

So here we are with an unboxing of Novembers My Chronicle Book Box, the theme which you may have guessed from the title is Cheating. Lying. Murder?
I absolutely loved this box so I can’t wait to share it with you all.

Let’s get cracking…

‘A Touch of Froth’ Bath Souffle (I really hope that this is a play on the programme ‘A Touch of Frost’ which is very dear to my heart!)
Scented with Lavender and fennel seed, made with Shea Butter and purifying sea salts to soften the skin. They were made in Sheffield local to My Chronicle HQ, it is cruelty free and suitable for vegans.
This is super cute as a souffle, I never seen one of those before. I also think it smells like the blackcurrant and liquorice sweets.

Partners in Crime Liquid Hand Soap by Lovely Skincare created exclusively for My Chronicle. Inspired by the writing partnership of Nicci and Sean, Caz has paired Pink Grapefruit with Neroli for the scent and given it a Partners in Crime theme,

“We lose ourselves in books, We find ourselves there too” A5 Print is created by HappyIfItRains. This image is from a larger scale screen print which has been hand printed in high quality on specialist archival card.
This print is beautiful and I’ve just visited his Etsy shop to add the link for you and his work is unreal!

Chapter Sampler of Tidelands by Philippa Gregory
Personally I’m not a big fan of historical fiction, I’ve seen so many books by Philippa Gregory I just never seem to pick them up.

Key Bottle Opener
Not only decorative but this key is also very useful as a bottle opener!

Drum Roll Please…

Neve Connolly looks down at a murdered man.
She doesn’t call the police.
‘You know, it’s funny,’ Detective Inspector Hitching said. ‘Whoever I see, they keep saying, talk to Neve Connolly, she’ll know. She’s the one people talk to, she’s the one people confide in.’
A trusted colleague and friend. A mother. A wife. Neve Connolly is all these things.
She has also made mistakes; some small, some unconsciously done, some large, some deliberate. She is only human, after all.
But now one mistake is spiralling out of control and Neve is bringing those around her into immense danger.
She can’t tell the truth. So how far is she prepared to go to protect those she loves?
And who does she really know? And who can she trust?
A liar. A cheat. A threat. Neve Connolly is all these things.
Could she be a murderer?

I’m so excited that our book is The Lying Room by Nicci French, this has been on my radar for a little while now so to have my own hardback first edition that’s also signed makes me even more excited to dive in!
