I’d like to give a big thanks to Karl for getting in touch and providing me with a copy of his book to read and review honestly.
Let’s jump right in…

But they have no idea how much.

The weight of shadows can be devastating
So this is the first book in the Shadow series, the second being The Wait For Shadows which has already been published (Spoiler Alert: I will be reading this!)
I was seriously absorbed into this world which is probably best described as London’s underbelly with intricate characters and plots. There are quite a few overlapping story lines in this book which I really enjoyed trying to piece together. The only negative for me is that it did seem to drag a little in the middle, however that didn’t take too much from the book.
I loved that the ending was satisfying yet piqued my interest and left me wanting to read the next in the series to find out what happened. That’s all I’m going to say about this book as I don’t want to spoil it for you guys. I highly recommend this for those looking for a decent crime thriller with really well developed characters.
So who is Karl Holton?
Karl Holton’s first book, ‘The Weight of Shadows’ came out in July 2017. It is the first in a new crime thriller mystery known as the ‘Shadow Series. The second in the series ‘The Wait for Shadows’ came out in December 2017. Both are available on Amazon.
Karl previously worked in financial markets for over thirty years, before deciding that he had to write. He couldn’t leave this dream any longer.
He lives in the United Kingdom with his wife and two children.
I hope you enjoyed this review, I will see you guys in the next one…
