Monthly Wrap Up, Wrap Up

-| My Highest Rated Books This Month… Wrapping Up September 2019 Part 2 |-

So, welcome back to part 2 of my wrap-up, here are my highest rated books this month (there’s plenty of them).

There’s no time to lose so let’s jump in…

Endgame (Fawkes & Baxter #3) by Daniel Cole

This is the third instalment in the Fawkes and Baxter series, if you’re unaware the first book is Ragdoll and the second is Hangman. Now I personally don’t think that this should be read as a standalone, there is so much that is brought over from the first two books which isn’t explained here. It did stump me a bit to try and remember areas as it has been over a year since I have read Hangman.
You can catch my thoughts here.

The Fourth Victim by John Mead

I wish that I could go into full detail about this case but you know the drill, the less you know the more you will enjoy the book! I love the main focus of the investigation it really made you think how many killers do we have here? I’m no professional but I feel like it was done really well. I also really enjoyed the twists and turns that we were taken on with The Fourth Victim. This is one that I will definitely be recommending to those who enjoy this genre.

Heartstopper: Volume Two by Alice Oseman

I love this series so much! It completely took me by surprise as this isn’t usually what I lean towards. I found myself enjoying this more than the first and I can’t wait for the next volume.

Blood Song (Emily Roy & Alexis Castells #3) by Johana Gustawsson

Yes Yes Yes! Another Nordic Noir series for me to sink my teeth into! If you don’t already know, Nordic Noir is one of my absolute favourite genres, so as soon as I saw this book I just knew that I had to get involved.
So first let me just say that I didn’t realise that this was third book in a series (my bad), thankfully this reads well as a standalone without me feeling at too much of a disadvantage. After reading this though I definitely want to start from the beginning. Here is my stop on the blog tour.

Rewind by Catherine Ryan Howard

Oh boy! This book is a crazy ride! I only finished this on the last day of September so I haven’t had chance to write a full review of this yet. I will just tell you that the ending had me shouting out loud!

Godsgrave (The Nevernight Chronicle #2) by Jay Kristoff

I have finally finished this book! I think I’ve been reading it for over a month, I don’t know why it took me so long. I will be posting a review for this soon, just know that I absolutely loved this book.

One By One (Robert Hunter #5) by Chris Carter

Man this series is brutal! I’ve been listening to these on audio and I’m just so addicted to them. I’ve already started the next one so I will probably post a review of both books 5 and 6 like I did with 3 and 4 which you can read here.

The Teleporter by Lee Hall

I had so much fun reading this!! Which honestly shocked me, I don’t usually laugh and smile when I read (because I’m dead inside) but it happened with The Teleporter. I actually started this on Sunday afternoon and once I’d put Noah to bed I stayed up until the early hours of Monday morning just to finish it. It’s completely different to anything that I have read before which I think is why it completely took me by surprise.
Catch my review here.

See you guys in the next one…
