www wednesday

-| WWW Wednesday… #7 |-

So, here we are with another WWW Wednesday which was originally hosted by A Daily Rhythm & then revived by Taking on a World of Words.

As always, I have linked the title of the book to it’s Goodreads pages (you’re welcome).

– What are you currently reading? –
– What did you finish recently reading? –
– What do you think you’ll read next? –

Let’s jump right in…

Appetite For Risk by Jack Leavers
You can find my stop on the blog tour here.

Heartstopper Volume 2 by Alice Oseman

I didn’t expect to enjoy this series at all! But it really is super cute, this is my first time reading about a boy meets boy romance as you guys know I mainly read crime fiction and we don’t have much diversity in those. I gave this 4 cups of coffee out of 5, I did enjoy it more than the first volume.

The Fourth Victim by John Mead

Again you can find my stop on the blog tour here.

A Game of Thrones by George R.R. Martin
Oh man I’ve been reading this since my last WWW Wednesday post and I’m only 180 pages in! I’m finding it really intimidating and a lot of info dumping. Saying that I am really enjoying it, just taking it a chapter or two at a time.

Endgame (Fawkes & Baxter #3) by Daniel Cole

I’m really enjoying this instalment as I have loved the first two books in this series. Keep an eye out for my review this weekend!

Godsgrave (The Nevernight Chronicle #2) by Jay Kristoff

It’s taking me so long to get through this book! This may be because I want to actually saver the story and I don’t want it to end. I love it!

Beneath The Sugar Sky (Wayward Children #3) by Seanan McGuire
I’m making my way through this series on audio, looking forward to getting started with this.

One Dark Throne (Three Dark Crowns #2) by Kendare Blake

I really enjoyed getting to know each of the queens in the first book, so it will be fun to see where this book takes us.

The Teleporter by Lee Hall

I first became aware of Lee Hall when I read an reviewed his book Darke Blood back in April you can find my review here. I’ve gathered that this is a different take on superhero novel.

See you guys in the next one…

  1. Good luck on your Game of Thrones endeavor! I know how intimidating that series can be but it’s well worth it! I recently read a phenomenal book called “Two Skies Before Night” by author Robert Gryn (http://www.robertgrynbooks.com/ ). It is so hard to categorize this book because it has so much going on for it. It’s like dystopian science fiction meets detective fiction meets fantasy. The double murder mystery takes place in a city where there is an “Above” and “Below” for the alien races that live there with a very strict class system. Detective Lang is in charge of figuring out the murder of an alien couple, the man from the above (the elite class) and the woman from the below. I read this book because it won the 2019 Next Generation Indie Book Awards and I love checking out indie authors! It is an addictive read for sure and I think you would enjoy it!
    Happy Reading!
