I think June has been my best reading month ever! I can’t believe I finished 16 books and DNF’d 1! I dived into YA and Graphic Novels for the first time which I think made this month even more enjoyable. I also discovered I can borrow eBooks and audio books through my library on Libby, this opened a whole new world for me.
There’s a lot to get through, so here goes…

So, out of the 17 books including my DNF:
7 of them were YA (this is my first month properly delving into YA and I now love it!)
4 were Graphic Novels (another completely new genre to me!)
5 were Thrillers
1 was Adult Fantasy
5 were audio books and 3 eBooks all from my Library
5 were eARC’s 2 were print ARC’s and 2 were print books that I already owned.
Total of Pages: 5,463
Avg. Rating: 4.02
This month included a ton of firsts for me as I mentioned before, it was also my first time doing monthly stats and honestly I loved seeing how much my reading varies between genres and formats.

However I did find time to film and post my very first 2 videos for my BookTube channel!! I’m so nervous about them and still don’t think that I’m good enough or ‘belong’ there but I’m ready to see where it will take me… If you’re interested take please take a look, I would love some feedback.
How was June for you?
See you guys in the next one…

how was black out?

Yeah, I don’t want to say too much, it’s so much better when you go in blind. Let me know how you find it!

Maggie Stiefvater is definitely an acquired taste. Did you do the audiobook or the physical for The Raven Boys? (I’m not a fan of the narrator, but each to their own.) SO GLAD you loved Nevernight!! Can’t wait to hear what you think of Godsgrave!! 💕

I listened to the audiobook, I got about 51% and just abandoned it. My library have the physical copies so I’m debating trying it physically. I’m so excited for to read Godgrave!

I would try the physical book. Maggie’s writing is beautiful and lyrical, but if it’s not the right narrator for you, then it can go horribly wrong. I do like the narrators of The Scorpio Races, but they really got the cadence of her writing. And I think TRB would have been better with a female narrator as most of the book is from Blue’s perspective.

How was The Controller? I’ve looked at it several times and considered putting it on my TBR but haven’t, yet. It looks good.

I enjoyed it more than I expected tbh, it’s the beginning of a series and I would definitely read the next one when it’s published.
