So, I don’t know about you but I love finding new authors, over the past year I have been attempting to read from as many as I can. They have all been so good, but I’ve decided to just narrow it down to a list of 5 for you guys.
As always, the title of the books links to their page on Goodreads (you’re welcome)
Let’s go…

Daniel Cole
Ragdoll (Fawkes and Baxter #1)
Hangman (Fawkes and Baxter #2)
This series gives me serious D.I. Helen Grace series by M.J. Arlidge vibes! Which if you have been following this blog for a while you will know that it is extremely close to being one of my favourite ever series. I think this is why I enjoyed these books by Daniel Cole so much.

David Young
Stasi Child (Karin Muller #1)
Stasi Wolf (Karen Muller #2)
I love Nordic Noir as you already know, so Stasi Child just reeled me in from the start making me need to read the second straight away.
There’s also a third book titled A Darker State that was released last year I just haven’t got my hands on a copy yet.

Lucy Clarke
You Let Me In
I have mentioned this a few times now so I won’t go into too much detail I will just leave the link to my thoughts here.
I will say one thing, I absolutely loved this book!

M.W. Craven
The Puppet Show (Washington Poe #1)
This book is just fab! I loved the plot and the writing. This is one of the few books where I loved one of the supporting characters more than the main protagonist.
The follow up, Black Summer, is due to be released in June and I’m so excited to read it!

Sebastian Fitzek
The Child
Nightwalker
I have to completely agree with the statement on the cover of both of these books. Fitzek really is the master of mind games. Not all of his books are translated to English yet, so I’m having a little difficulty trying to get hold of more from this author.
Are there any new authors that you have read this year that you have loved and want to keep reading more from?
See you in the next one…

Loved this!

I love Sebastian Fitzek. Some of his books are on Audible, but not available as ebooks/paperbacks. That’s the reason I first got Audible.
