Book Review, Book Series

Hide and Seek Review

I felt that I read this book so fast I didn’t even have chance to catch my breath. The sixth instalment of Helen Grace has not let me down! Now I’m pretty sure by now that you know how much I love this series by M J Arlidge.

So carrying on from Little Boy Blue (click the link to read my review of this book) Helen is in a bit of trouble as she has found herself imprisoned in Holloway surrounded by the very murderers, thieves and prostitutes that she put in the hell hole. She is facing a triple murder charge. If her situation wasn’t bad enough their is now a killer running wild who has access to their cells after dark.

Helen being our favourite Detective Inspector is not going to just sit back while these killings happen so she does the very little that she can in a prison to find this murderer. I’m not going to carry on as I don’t want to spoil this book for you, all I can say is that this is a must read! She was described as having a fall from grace in Little Boy Blue, however that is far from the truth in this instalment.

Once again M J Arlidge has written a fast paced, addictive thriller. He knows how to create a character who the reader would not normally support, however when you read more into the character herself and the damage that her early life has caused you cannot help but want her to succeed.

This is easily my favourite series, and I hope that you discover Helen Grace and enjoy these books as much as I have.
