Little Boy Blue Review

So I have just finished the fifth instalment in the Helen Grace series and all I can say is WOW…

Things took a seriously unexpected turn and the way the book ended made me praying that HIDE AND SEEK (the sixth book) will come through my letterbox any day now as it is essential I find out what happens next! Anyway lets slow things down a little…

img_3904So a body is found in a S&M nightclub (nothing unusual there) however when Helen Grace uncovers the victims face she recognises him! Her secret life is under threat of being revealed with serious consequences, she must keep her secret under wraps at all costs. When a second body is discovered the investigation begins to take its toll on her senior officers trying to fight to prove their position as Helen’s right hand woman.

Helen is faced with an impossible decision, confess her sins to her team and be taken off the case? Or keep living the lie to protect her darkest secrets and risk getting tangled in the killers web? Whatever decision she makes this killer will not stop until the truth is revealed.

I could not get enough of this book and read it in two days. The fast pace and short chapters made it almost impossible to put down. The development of Helen as a character is done extremely well, when someone’s life is turned upside down and they seem to have lost everyone that they thought they could trust, I believe that is when you truly find out what that person is like. This is what the last fifty pages started to show and I cannot wait for HIDE AND SEEK to be delivered so I can carry on with this series.

Please let me know your views on this series or any other series that you are reading, this is my first series that I have stuck at and I’m wondering what I have been missing out on.

On to the next book…
